We have enjoyed participating in the Awards since they began in 2013 (my goodness…how young we looked then! 😊). Our customers have always shown their support by voting for us and our amazing staff have shone during judge’s visits and live competitions resulting in us picking up numerous awards over the years.

In 2021, we were proud to be finalists in a record number of categories:

• Best Trattoria
• Best Restaurant (over 50 seats) – Celino’s Partick
• Best Restaurant (under 50 seats) – Celino’s Alexandra Parade
• Best Deli
• Best Family Friendly Restaurant
• Best Barista
• Favourite Italian Business
• Best Wine Selection

The Gala event, held in November each year, is always a fantastic event – lots of entertainment, glamour and great company. Although there is healthy competition amongst the contenders, there’s also a great sense of camaraderie and it’s a great occasion to catch up with others in the same business. It’s also a great opportunity for Jenni (our Area Manager) to show off her stupendous shoe collection!

This year, Claudio and Joanne were joined at the event by Jenni, Felipe, Scott, Derek and Laura (representing the Partick team) and Jane and Thomas (representing Celino’s Alexandra Parade). We were delighted to pick up the following awards:

• Best Family Friendly Restaurant - Winner
• Best Barista (Derek, Celino’s Partick) - Winner
• Best Deli – Highly Commended
• Best Trattoria – Highly Commended

Congratulations to the entire Celino’s team on these awards and for the tremendous commitment and hard work they show throughout the year, every year. Special mention to Derek who demonstrated his fantastic skills and creativity in the nerve-wracking Barista Final.
